The Facts are These:

Attack on Titan focuses mainly on three individuals Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlet and their contribution in the fight against the Titans. The Titans are large human cannibals who eat humans for fun and not of necessity. The humans live in side three enclosed Wall Maria, Wall Rose and Wall Sina and have lived there peacefully for one hundred years, until an extremely large Titan without skin opens the door and attack. Now the humans must defend against the Titans for the first time in over a hundred years.

Discoveries:

This anime was the most hyped anime when it came out and afterwards as well and the hype is justified. It is well animated and great actions scenes, you can honestly feel the pain and pressure the individuals fighting against these massive titans feel. The pain of losing someone precious and the anger you feel from an unjust enemy are all present I feel this show is emotional and that you want to understand more of their world and how it relates to the Titans.

Behind the Scenes:

Attack on Titan is based on the manga of the same name created by Hagime Isayama, with this being his most notable work. It was produced by Production I.G. and Wit Studio. Wit Studio is a subsidiary of I.G. Port and Attack on Titan was their first production with them also producing afterwards the animated movie HAL and Hozuki no Retetsu. The series was directed by Tetsuro Araki who has also directed Highschool of the Dead, Guilty Crown and Death Note. Both of the Opening songs are great though like of a majority of people I like the first opening a bit more with it’s orchestral and grandness than the rock opening. Though the visuals are what make both openings drawing you into it. The first opening is Guren no Yumiya by Linked Horizon and the second opening is Jiyo no Tsubasa by Linked Horizon. Here is both of them…

A Brief View of the World:

The world behind the walls is like a medieval Europe and the clothing and lifestyle is similar. The one large difference is the existence of Titans and what had been developed to fend off the Titans for example the 3D maneuver gear. This allows the to use tall building and trees to grapple and launch themselves towards to the Titans close enough to kill them. The world inside the walls is of status the closer you are to the centre the more wealthy or important you are to the cause. The outside world is a vast wasteland of large forests and plains because of the lack of human interference there.

Enjoyment:

I thoroughly enjoyed this show, it was packed with  action, excitement and story. I looked forward to see what will be explored in the future of the series and how the world and our opinion of it will change the more we learn about the past and more about the Titans as well.

Rewatchability:

The story is extremely rewatchable, it keeps you excited and the action alone will keep you wanting to see more of it as well.

Rating:

7/10
