The Facts are These:
Renton, a scientist’s son and Eureka a girl who can’t be in the sun grew up together. One day Eureka is taken away and he vows to find her. He joins the military and becomes the pilot of the Nirvash to find the girl he once and still loves.
The movie is different and good because it is interesting to see each character in a different place in their life. To see Renton as the soldier and Eureka as the shy one was a nice switch. Though the change I liked the most was the roles of Anemone and Dominic. I liked these characters better than the original series, though they didn’t have the amazing development they were overall great characters to see.
Behind the Scenes:
The movie is based of the anime series of the same name by studio BONES. The director of the series is Tomoki Kyoda, his other works include Raxephon and the Eureka Seven series. The movie was produced by studio BONES and was licensed in North America by BANDAI, though Funimation currently holds the license in North America.
Here is the trailer for the movie…
A Brief View of the World:
The world of Eureka Seven is a world where the air is filled with a element known as Trapars. Using Trapars people are able to surf on the air using Lift Boards, KLFs or LFOs. The world is affected by an organism that is called Scub Coral, this organism causes damage to human civilization.
The movie is fun to watch and it is a different experience than the original series. Though I don’t feel that it matches up to the original series I found it to be a good replacement and story in general.
The movie is rewatchable with a runtime of around 2 hours. You will get a good story and it is a different experience for Eureka Seven fans, but it is still a good time.
Evangelion 1.01 – For a great mech anime movie with great visuals.
Summer Wars – For a good anime movie in general.
I do not own any of the above used pictures and/or video they belong to their original creators, BONES, and Funimation.
