Now for the mysterious random anime I picked out!

The show centres around the student Kobayashi. A young boy who wakes up in the middle of his class to realize that his teacher has been murdered and that he is holding the murder weapon. This is the first part of a multi part mystery where we learn the reasons for the murder and more about the characters involved in the story.

Immediately through the imagery presented the show has me interested.

Kobayashi our main character is tired of his normal ordinary life, with this mystery that is introduced he has been given the opportunity leave that dull life and solve this mystery as the first exciting thing to happen in his life. I liked how character that are not important to the mystery are life grey with no details. It allows you to focus on the mystery at hand without nay additional distraction. Though this is a downside as well, because you know all those things have no relevance to the plot and are just screen filler.

I like how every character starts of grey. If they are relevant to the story then the filter is eliminated and we see their appearance.

The show has an interesting atmosphere, we know it takes place in modern times, but it has a sixties vibe to it. Through the first episode it seems that the show has a train of though and potential, but the show just seemed to be an introduction to the larger mystery at hand that we are going to see in the future.

The show has an interesting visual style when explaining the mystery.

Overall, I am going to continue to watch it till the end of the first mystery, if it is enjoyable I will continue, if not I may give it a chance when it is complete. Right now since the first episode seemed to just be introductions it has not really caught my interest yet.

But doesn’t the main character piss you off just a little bit :P? I mean, he wasn’t even remotely phased in that first scene and finds his whole situation as a bit of a joke. That could be a sign of badassery if he didn’t act so frickin moe all the time lol. So at the end of the day, all you’re left with is just a generally creepy guy. I dunno, man, I just can’t really connect with him.

Your right he is taking the news that he is facing life imprisonment in stride. I mean even if you believe that you are the strongest person in the world, life imprisonment is something we should all be panicked about. He is so cocksure that he will be picked that he is like “whatever.” Yeah he doesn’t seem to be a hero the audience can connect to well.

Whoops, just realized that I awas talking about Rokka no Yuusha and not Ranpo Kitan. Well it is basically the same plot point actually, so it was not that far off. He should be more concerned about his standing in this situation though.
